Kristina Dousharm, AIA, NCARB, Principal

Kristina Dousharm is the principal of KDA. Prior to founding the firm, Kristina garnered a wide range of architectural experience in New York City and the Hudson Valley, including renovations on historic townhomes, residential projects throughout rural upstate New York, academic facilities planning and the development of the master plan for a 615-acre community for adults with developmental disabilities.

Kristina holds a certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). She is a licensed architect in New York and Pennsylvania.

Ferol Barton Blake, Fdesign, Creative Director

Ferol Barton Blake, founder of Fdesign, has been working with Kristina Dousharm Architecture since the firm's beginning. Ferol's ability to understand a client's programmatic needs coupled with his ability to resolve architectural and design issues in a strategic manner is integral to KDA's process. Together, they collaborate as KDA + FD

In his career, Ferol has led a broad range of projects including design for noted New York City retailers and restaurants as well as residential projects throughout the greater New York City area. Ferol also has a successful line of furniture under the Fdesign brand.

Josh Payne, AIA, Project Architect

Josh Payne honed his architectural skills in the Boston area, before returning to his native Hudson Valley and joining KDA in 2015. Josh's prior work included passive solar design, bio-tech, education and institutional commissions, as well as a variety of residential and commercial projects. Josh is highly engaged in all aspects of KDA's collaborative process. He brings a critical eye and an acute attention to detail to every project.

Josh is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and a licensed architect in New York.

Zachary T. Hall, Project Manager

Zachary T. Hall has over ten years of architectural experience working in the Hudson Valley. Zak obtained his Associates of Architectural Technology from Dutchess Community College. He is an integral member of the team, bringing a comprehensive architectural skillset into KDA’s collaborative process.

Dawn Santiago, Project Manager

As a Hudson Valley native, Dawn Santiago brings a rich knowledge of historical structures with a passion for restoration and preservation. After completing her degree from SUNY Buffalo, Dawn participated in several commercial and educational projects in Western New York. Returning to the Hudson Valley to pursue more residential endeavors seemed like a natural fit. Dawn’s vast experience is a vital component of the KDA+FD team.

Frank Herrera, Architectural Associate

After obtaining an Architectural degree from the New York Institute of Technology, Frank has a solid foundation in architecture and design. Sharing a passion for illustration and photography, he works closely with designers translating their concepts, ideas, and sketches into construction documents. Frank's background has prepared him to excel in this position at KDA.

Kristin D'Aliso, Design Associate

With a multidisciplinary background, Kristin D'Aliso started her career as a Catalog Designer and Marketing Manager in New England and the Hudson Valley. Kristin's skills in design, photography, and technology, as well as her passion for art and travel, drive the creativity and ambition that she brings to her work at KDA.
